About Laflamme Forge
Our Mission
At Laflamme Forge, my mission is to create functional art, and get quality hand forged knives and ironwork in the hands of everyday people at a reasonable price. Every piece is handmade with love in Rhode Island with a focus on quality and functionality.
Our Story
I am Noel Laflamme, the founder of Laflamme Forge. I am a knifemaker and blacksmith aiming to get great quality handmade goods in the hands of those who love to use them. Forging metal and bringing out its inner beauty is a passion of mine that has developed over the years and is always growing.
It all started with a need to forge my own arrowheads for longbows I was making at the time. Over the years it slowly progressed into being more knife and tool focused, with a desire to combine art, along with my engineering and material science knowledge, specializing in high end kitchen knives.
Our Products
I offer a variety of handmade knives from high quality blade steels such as 52100, Apex Ultra, 80CRV2 and AEB-L. Each blade is professionally heat treat in a controlled environment, including when necessary, cryogenic treatment to get the most out of the steel. The handles are made from high quality woods such as walnut, Ebony, olive wood and other domestic and exotic hardwoods, brass, nickel silver, and stainless steel.
Along with knives, I can provide a wide variety of ornamental ironwork, tools and similar products.
